Duke Energy wants to provide reliable, affordable and environmentally friendly energy. The four ways currently available are by using nuclear, coal, gas, and renewable generators. Promoting energy efficiency is also a strategy. However, there are plusses and minuses associated with each of the power sources. No one single solution will work. They are working on ways to use all sources in a responsible way. The Energy Bill creating debates in Washington, D.C. causes concern for Duke Energy and its customers. He asked us to visit the web site www.sheddingalight.org to become more familiar with the issues and let our representative know how we feel.
