CLUB CONCERNS:

PRESIDENT ROB asked us to keep the following in our thoughts and prayers: ROY WHISTLER, FRANCIS PRITSCHER (FRANCIS would appreciate visits and calls from Rotarians), the family and friends of BOB BROCK who passed away last week.

PROGRAM:

GORDON COPPOC introduced his colleague, Billy Hooper, who is President of Lafayette Citizens Band Board. Billy opened by saying that "Music makes you happy." He had a long list of ways that happens, which included enjoying a warm summer evening in a lovely setting enjoying a free concert. The band was organized for a concert on July 4, 1842, making it the oldest band in Indiana. After reviewing the history of the organization and its various uniforms and significant awards, we were invited to attend concerts at Riehle Plaza every Thursday evening this summer.

STUDENT GUESTS:

TIM PARSONS introduced Dawn Jordan and Terrell Jacobs from Harrison College. Each received a certificate and a travel mug with the Four Way Test to commemorate meeting with us.

Harriett Coppoc, wife of GORDON COPPOC; Dinah Dalder and Meg Howlett, members of Lafayette Citizens Band and part of Harriet Coppoc's flute trio; Bob Woerner, guest of ED HEMMER; George and Nerlene Ramsey, guests of LETA KELLEY; Denise Schmidt, wife of TOM SCHMIDT; and Gary Blau, guest of BOB HANNEMANN.
