CLUB CONCERNS:

PRESIDENT ROB asked us to keep the following in our thoughts and prayers: BOB BROCK, ROY WHISTLER, FRANCIS PRITSCHER. FRANCIS would appreciate visits and calls from Rotarians.

BIRTHDAY TABLE:

BOB VERPLANK introduced Rotarians celebrating a birthday in May and announced that so far $1,750 has been contributed to our Foundations. We sang in thanks!

EULOGY:

JAY SMITH presented a very moving eulogy for his father, JIM SMITH, who passed away last month. The Eulogy has been posted on the Club web page. Click on Eulogies.

PROGRAM:

MIKE SIMPSON, chair of the Scholarship/Citizenship Scholarship Committee, introduced the parents of the recipients of the scholarships, and all of the school officials. The theme for Rotary International this year is Make Dreams Real. MIKE noted that the students honored today make dreams of other people real. The activities, honors and future plans of the students were presented by MIKE SIMPSON for Tyler King; SUSAN HYCHKA for Kathryn Stwalley; BARB REIF for Matthew Lancaster; SUSAN SMITH for Gregot-Fausto Siegmund (whose parents accepted on his behalf); and LIZ SOLBERG for Sonya Jayarata (whose parents accepted on her behalf). This very talented group of young people makes us all proud to assist in making their dreams real.
