    ♦ Have you played your part? The Rotary Foundation (in Evanston) needs every Rotarian to give at least $100 each year. The program is known as Every Rotarian Every Year. So far our club stands at $61.00 per capita this year. Please make your check payable to the Lafayette Rotary Club Foundation and indicate on the memo line that it is for EREY.

    ♦ Association, to be held on May 7, 2009, at the Best Western Hotel. Cost is $30.00 per person, and it will run from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. More information can be obtained by calling 765-742-1800.

    ♦ District Conference is May 1 and 2 at the Sheraton at Keystone at the Crossing. Registration forms are available at the District website.

    ♦ LETA KELLEY needs 3 or 4 more volunteers to help with backpacks this week. Please contact her ASAP!

    Highlights from the Club Board of Director's Meeting:

    ♦ Directors and Committee Chairs are encouraged to review budget allocations and service projects and activities.

    ♦ JOE BOORMAN'S resignation was accepted with regret.

    ♦ DICK GRIPE was made a Life Member after 56 years as a participant.

    ♦ MARIANNE ROSE resigned from the Board and SUSAN HYCHKA was approved to fill the two-year slot in the Membership area.

    ♦ Committee preference sheets will be available at the April 28th meeting.
