Through public/private partnerships they have a fountain, petting zoo, and a butterfly garden. About 25,000 kids have been exposed to animals through classes, camp or exhibits. She briefly mentioned needs that the zoo has, including a second classroom, exhibits for cats and primates, penguins, River Otters, Australian marsupials, and small African animals.

Claudine introduced Paige Ebner, Membership Director of the Friends of Columbian Park Zoo, a non- profit organization founded in 1976 to provide funding for the zoo.
