    ANNOUNCEMENTS:
    • TOM FREY asked for volunteers to do data entry for Rotary Disaster Relief. If you have knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets and have the time, please contact TOM.

    • BOB HANNEMANN announced a meeting after today's club meeting on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

    • CHARLOTTE HOWELLS reminded members that help for Backpack Distribution is needed on Fridays. We follow the Tippecanoe County School Corp calendar. The sign up sheet on the back board lists opportunities. Normally the service is from 1:45 - 2:45 p.m., but on 2/13/9 distribution will be in the morning due to early release at school. Please contact Charlotte if you haven't signed up yet, or have questions.

    • RENEE MULLEN announced data regarding the Art Museum's Dog Days of Summer project upcoming. This Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. there is a kick off to be held at Munizer Moving on Ferry Street. Contact Renee for more information or go to lafayettedogdays.com.

    • PRESIDENT ELECT CHRISTA KECK also announced the RYLA program (Rotary Youth Leadership Award). This is celebrated at Camp Tecumseh March 20-22, 2009. Nominate a potential leader by picking up a form on the table.

    • VICE PRESIDENT DICK RAHDERT announced that nomination forms for the Service Above Self Award are available. The deadline is February 24th, so be thinking of people you can nominate who go above and beyond when performing their jobs.

    • We are reminded to keep the funds flowing on our Every Rotarian Every Year commitment to Rotary International. Each member is asked to give something, but $100 is recommended as a minimum. Our club currently stands at $62 per member. We have until May to reach our goal.

    • District Conference is May 1 and 2 at the Sheraton at Keystone at the Crossing.

    • JOHN COREY announced that all are invited to the Wabash River Planning Process, February 10, 1009, 7:00 ­ 9:00 P.M., Ivy Hall, Ivy Tech Community College.
