FEBRUARY PROGRAMS:

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
  • JAYNE FEATHERS says with snowbirds leaving for the winter, more volunteers are needed on Thursdays and Fridays to help with backpacks. Sign up on the bulletin board or contact JAYNE if you can help.

  • The Backpack meeting that was canceled due to ice last Saturday will be this Saturday. Same time; same place.

  • VICE PRESIDENT DICK RAHDERT announced that nomination forms for the Service Above Self Award are available. The deadline is February 24th, so be thinking of people you can nominate who go above and beyond when performing their jobs.

  • After the meeting, nineteen Rotarians went to the Journal & Courier printing plant on 500 East. An interesting tour, organized by WES MC DIVITT and hosted by J & C Publisher GARY SUISMAN, spotlighted the magnificent press that can print as many as 1,166 copies per minute. We all enjoyed seeing that press automatically paste the paper from the end of a roll to the beginning of a 2,300 pound roll while running at full speed.

  • Show your Rotary pride by purchasing Rotary License plates. This year's model is available. The form is available by clicking here.

  • District 6560 Conference will be May 1 and 2 at the Sheraton at Keystone at the Crossing. Mark your calendars now and plan to attend. It is a fun way to learn more about the world of Rotary!
