CLUB CONCERNS:
PRESIDENT ROB asked us to keep the following in our thoughts and prayers: BOB BROCK, ROY WHISTLER.

BIRTHDAY TABLE:

CARL REW introduced members celebrating birthdays in December and announced that the average age of this group must be 163 (if each member contributes one dollar per year). The total collected for the Foundations so far is $1,967.00. We celebrated by singing Happy Birthday.

PROGRAM:

CHRISTA KECK introduced CHARLENE SULLIVAN, associate professor of management at the Krannert School, who began by saying that the real economy must now drive the stock market. The recent 47% drop in the stock market, the decline in real wages and number of weekly hours worked, added to the unwillingness of lenders to make loans has resulted in reluctance by consumers to spend their money. She believes the housing market is beginning to stabilize, wages should hold up due to low inflation and predicts the stock market will remain flat for a long time.

STUDENT GUESTS:

CHIP RUTLEDGE introduced Clarissa Bush and Brady Sutton from Harrison High School. Each received a certificate and travel mug with the 4-Way Test to commemorate meeting with us today.

GUESTS:

Tom Stazell, guest of BILL HEATH; Nancy Jara, guest of BECKY ROBLEDO
