PROGRAM:
ROB introduced Guy Harris with Principle Driven Consulting, who is a former submarine officer and nuclear engineer. He joked that engineers are usually not great public speakers and said an outgoing engineer looks at YOUR shoes when he speaks to you. His talk, entitled "Key Concepts in Conflict Resolution", began with an example showing that poor communication creates conflict. People naturally resort to "fight or flight". The Resolution Process involves agreeing to meet to solve the problem - said meeting takes a minimum of 1.5 hours. He had several examples of good and poor communication techniques. Following his prepared remarks, there were several good questions. |

PRESIDENT ROB presented BOB VERPLANK with a special Rotary Tie, purchased at the Rotary International Convention last month. This tie was in recognition of the many hours of work BOB performed preparing last week's Annual Meeting. Congratulations and Thanks, BOB!
