  • 24 - John Contreni, Purdue Dean of SLA,
       "The New Place"
       (Purdue Liberal Arts Community Engagement Program).

  • ANNOUNCEMENTS:
    • JEANNE NORBERG announced the partnership between our Club and Miami Elementary School, 2401 Beck Lane, Lafayette, for the Backpack Program. Eighty students will be provided with food every weekend through the school year. She introduced Miami's principal, Matt Rhoda, and Kim Motuliak with Food Finders. JAYNE FEATHERS chairs the Backpack Committee.

    • FRED ANDERSON will be walking in the Relay for Life June 26th and 27th at Jefferson High School. His personal goal is to raise $750 for cancer research.
      Anyone wishing to help him reach this goal is invited to contact him.

    • TERRY WEST will make a brief presentation on energy concerns and ANWAR at 1:00 next week. Those who are interested and can stay after the meeting for a few minutes are invited to do so.

    • LETA KELLEY announced that the next Euchre Party will be June 21st at JEANNE and John NORBERG'S house at 6:30. Bring a snack and your card sense. It's always a fun time and a great way to get to know fellow Rotarians.

    Club Board Meeting Report:
    • A Memorandum of Understanding between the Club and Miami Elementary School was accepted.
    • The 2008/2009 Budget was approved.
    • JOHN SANDERSON was thanked for his service as President this year. The next Board meeting will be chaired by ROB GALBRAITH.
    • The resignation of ROBERT MEYER was accepted as was the resignation of JANET BROYLES, as 08/09 Treasurer. A new Treasurer will be announced at the next meeting.
