VOCATIONAL MOMENT: |
DICK RAHDERT grew up in Ft. Wayne where he visited a Rotary Club as a student. He moved to Lafayette in 1971 and joined this club in 1978 (40 years ago!). With a couple of jokes about nuts and bolts, he told us he is a psychiatrist, which means he is also an M.D. Since he started treating patients, the medications available to help mental illnesses and addictions have increased dramatically. There is a nationwide shortage of psychiatrists, explaining why he is retired, but still working part time.
