BIRTHDAY TABLE:

JO WADE, standing in for GENE HILLS, introduced members celebrating birthdays in February and announced that so far this wonderful group has contributed $931 to our foundations. We sang "Happy Birthday" to them in appreciation!

PROGRAM:

ROB GALBRAITH introduced Joe Hornett, Senior Vice Pres. & Treasurer, Purdue Research Foundation, and former Rotarian, who talked to us about "Purdue Research Park: Moving Beyond West Lafayette". He said the I-65 corridor has a new meaning. "I" stands for innovation instead of interstate. The Foundation, begun in 1961 is creating research parks in Merrillville, Indianapolis, New Albany, as well as the well-established and growing research park in West Lafayette. Using Purdue's strong research base, these parks will integrate government, higher education and business. The existing buildings are nearly full with expansions planned. It is a very exciting enterprise for Indiana's economic development.

STUDENT GUESTS:

BOB HANNEMANN introduced Mary Majewski and Derek Daluga from West Lafayette High School. Each received a certificate and a travel mug with the 4- Way Test to commemorate meeting with us.
