PROGRAM:

JOHN SANDERSON introduced Ed Morrison with the Purdue Center for Regional Development who talked to us about meeting the challenges of today's economy. Noting that the U.S. high school graduating rate is 26th of all the industrialized nations, he believes we need to change the way we think. With at high school drop out rate of nearly 30%, the enormous economic disability needs everyone's attention. The economy is maturing and slowing down. To generate more wealth we need to take advantage of opportunities offered by education and networks. Rotary can help by providing scholarships to summer camps for kids and by mentoring.
