  • Mark your calendar! There will be a Holiday Reception from 4 - 8 P.M. on Sunday, December 16th at JANE TURNER'S home. This will also serve as the New Member Reception. Sponsors, New Members, Old Members, Spouses - Everybody come.

  • CARL REW has the sign up board for ringing the Bells for Salvation Army on December 1st. It is Salvation Army's largest fund-raiser. We need to fill every 2-hour slot. Check the schedule here. Or Contact CARL

  • Caroline Briggs, a member of Daybreak, invited Rotarians to attend the reception she will be hosting for Dr. Jean-Philippe Rondeau, a Rotarian from El Salvador, at her office, 1216 Main Street, 5 PM to 7PM on Wednesday, Nov. 28th . He will be visiting our noon Rotary meeting on Nov. 27th, but she hopes that some of us would also be interested in coming to the smaller reception. Let Caroline (420-7400) or ROB GALBRAITH know if you would like to attend.

  • The Youth committee is excited to announce that Rotary will be participating for the first time in the American Red Cross Christmas gifting to children. There are two ways you can be personally involved. First, you can get a child's name and information to purchase one complete outfit and a toy for them. This costs around $30-$50. You would bring your purchases to Rotary up to and including the December 11th meeting. The second way you can participate is by contributing to the Lafayette Rotary Foundation and putting this program note on your check. The committee will then do the shopping for you. This is an exciting new program to be involved in and is the only Christmas some of these children will receive. Contact CYNTHIA HARDING or (428-8910) for more information or to get a name. There will also be an announcement at next week's Rotary meeting.
