ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • BETTY SUDDARTH encouraged everyone to attend Rotaract's Game Night on November 14th at 7:00 P.M at St. James Lutheran Church. Interact members have also been invited to join the fun. Both groups helped with Gus Macker. We could help Rotaract with their food drive (bring some to the game night) and Interact is collecting clothing and toys for an orphanage in El Salvador.

  • Mark your calendar! There will be a Holiday Reception from 4 - 8 P.M. on Sunday, December 16th at JANE TURNER'S home. This will also serve as the New Member Reception. Sponsors, New Members, Old Members, Spouses - Everybody come.

  • CARL REW has the sign up board for ringing the Bells for Salvation Army on December 1st. It is Salvation Army's largest fund-raiser. We need to fill every 2-hour slot.


PROSPECTIVE NEW MEMBER:

Jeff Weaver, a former member of our club sponsored by ROB GALBRAITH; Renee Mullen, sponsored by JEANNE NORBERG; and James Wallin, sponsored by AL CHISCON, have been approved by the Board of Directors for membership will be introduced soon if there are no objections.


JANE'S CORNER:
Highlights of the Board Meeting:

  • The board accepted the resignations of Nate G. Barrett, Dave and Adrienne Bough, Bob Hanna, Dave Lahr, Joe Micon and Lloyd Weaver.

  • Ralph Morris was made a Life Member.

  • The Youth Committee was given $250 to participate in the Red Cross Christmas Tree. Members may add to this amount to increase the number of children helped by this program.

  • The Board agreed to do the Gus Macker Tournament again next year contingent upon finding leadership in the club and a major sponsor.
