and to PAUL POST for his work on the successful Gus Macker Tournament.

VOCATIONAL FOCUS:

NORRIS WANG, Tippecanoe County Magistrate, has had a legal career focused on social services. Most of his cases involve alcohol and good people making poor choices. Community safety is a high priority, but finding resolutions to problems involving those who have made a mistake is also important. NORRIS loves his job and appreciates the opportunity to serve the people of Tippecanoe County.

PROGRAM:

JIM HANKS introduced fellow Rotarian CHRISTY SMITH, Leadership Lafayette's president for the past 17 years. Several members of Rotary were present at the birth of Leadership Lafayette 25 years ago. This very successful non profit organization has grown tremendously and made a significant impact on the community in that time.

CHRISTY introduced KD Benson, County Commissioner and Leadership Lafayette grad, who described the special program designed to help elected officials and county department heads with communication skills, conflict resolution and team building. One important result of this effort is improved morale in the County Office Building and Court House.

CHIRSTY introduced Kristen McCain, Eli Lilly Training and Development Director and Career Leadership Academy grad. She described how the classes helped her define leadership and improve her leadership style.

Finally CHRISTY asked Trish Brutus of CFRC and a Community Leadership Program grad to talk about the partnership that class has with organizations needing research, model projects and a plan of action.

CHRISTY ended with a fitting quote: "No one is eager to be managed, but the entire world is hungry to be led." Calvin Miller

STUDENT GUESTS:

KEN EWING introduced Allie McGraw and Eric Tippy from McCutcheon High School. Each received a certificate and a travel mug with the 4-Way Test to commemorate meeting with us.
