ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • The District Governor's visit is scheduled for August 14th. All Board Members and Committee Chairs are asked to meet with him in the Purdue Room at 10:00 that morning.

  • JIM KLUSMAN reminded us that volunteers are needed for 2 hour shifts to supervise activities surrounding the Gus Macker Trailer on August 18 and 25 from 9 - 3 at WalMart on St. Rd. 26 in Lafayette. Contact PAUL POST. Volunteers are also needed for the Event September 22 and 23. Finally, help is needed to distribute displays to local businesses. If you can help, please contact JIM.

  • LETA KELLEY announced that JOHN and PAT COREY are hosting the Euchre party this month. If you would like to play August 18th, please contact LETA or PAT.



FAMILY NEWS:

ROB NOLL was passing out chocolate cigars in honor of his daughter, Emily Ann. It was good to see him back at Rotary as a new dad!

DAVE LANDGREBE reports that CHRIS JOHANN- SEN has been given permission to fly home and should be at Rotary next week. Who knew an appendix could cause so much trouble in an adult in 2007!


JANE'S CORNER:

My family and I were surprised and most honored by the $50 gift the Club made to the Lafayette Rotary Foundation in memory of our father. I also want to thank all of you for the cards, messages, offers of help and general support during the final days of my father's life and the weeks following. My Rotary family is very special.
