JOHN SANDERSON introduced Hilary Krivchenia, Minister, Unitarian Universalist Church of Lafayette who talked to us about her journey to Israel and Palestine. Descended from Jews (many rabbis!), she traveled to Israel with the Interfaith Peace Builders. In a land soaked with history, she said the most important thing is what's happening in the present and what's possible in the future. Her group heard arguments, hopes and fears. They saw lots of rubble. She shared several photos of life as it is lived and concluded that President Carter's book is an accurate current portrait of a difficult corner of our earth.
