BIRTHDAY TABLE:
PAUL POST introduced members celebrating a birthday in May and announced that this group has contributed $1,485 so far. We sang Happy Birthday to this generous bunch!
PROGRAM:

JOHN SANDERSON introduced John Larson, Professor of History at Purdue. In addition to his interest in history, he describes himself as a student of capitalism. He described Nobel Peace winner Muhammed Yunus' micro credit philosophy and the success of the Grameen Bank. Larson also discussed some of Yunus' detractors. Sprinkled with the professor's perspective and a good amount of humor, the presentation ended with several good questions from members.

PRESIDENT JAN'S THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and most are different colors, but they all have to learn to live in the same box.
