BETTY DOVERSBERGER announces a brief meeting on May 8 following the
Rotary meeting to make the final decisions about the allocations for Youth
Camperships.

Calling all past presidents! A past president's pin was found at University Inn
two weeks ago. The back is missing, which means it silently fell off of your
jacket. Please check and let JAN or JANE know if it is yours.
-
There is still time to help JAN meet the goal of 100% participation for Every
Rotarian Every Year. Most of the clubs at the District Conference had 100% of
their members contributing something to The Rotary Foundation. If $100 is out
of your reach, whatever you can afford will be appreciated.
-
The 2007 Paul Harris Fellow Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 15 at the
Indiana Historical Society, featuring former Indianapolis Mayor Bill Hudnut. Cost
is $20.00. If you intend to attend, contact the Indianapolis Rotary Club office at
317-631-3733 by May 4th.

DISTRICT GOVERNOR BING PRATT gave us a brief update on Rotary
initiatives, including matching funds for Polio Push (4 countries remain to be
cleaned up), a successful District Conference in French Lick; and Rotary impact
on our own communities.
THANK YOU:
Dear Lafayette Indiana Rotary Club:
Thank you for presenting me with a scholarship at one of your luncheons. The
scholarship will be a great help to me in financing my education.
The meeting was impressive and the members were so kind. I am honored to
have received a scholarship from such an amazing group of people. Lafayette,
Indiana Rotary Club is doing a wonderful job of giving back to their community,
and I fully support you.
Thank you once again for allowing me an opportunity to speak in front of your
club. This is an addition to my accomplishments that I one day hope to share
with my son.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth A. Nisen, Student
Indiana Business College
To Whom It may Concern:
I recently received a scholarship from the Lafayette Rotary Club. I can not tell
you how much this means to me. I am applying this scholarship money to my
education. I look forward to telling students about this wonderful opportunity. It
helps me to know that there are others out there that without the help they
struggle too. I never received an A in high school let alone received a
scholarship. Its truly an honor to have received this.
By the way I really enjoyed the meal that was put out for us. I also enjoyed
getting to talk with such encouraging people as the Lafayette Rotary Club.
Respectfully,
Laurie Michael
