CLUB CONCERNS:

PRESIDENT JAN asked us to keep the following in our thoughts and prayers: BOB BROCK; Gerry Neudeck, husband of MARIELLEN NEUDECK.
VOCATIONAL MOMENT:

KATHY KROLL, a native of Chicago whose parents stressed education, graduated from the University of Illinois with a major in French. Her teaching career led her back to school to earn an M.S. in Education, perfectly preparing her for her current position. KATHY has directed the Academic Success Center at Purdue for 25 years. This center helps good students of all subjects in their effort to be better students.

AMBASSADORIAL SCHOLAR Siham Erragh made a short presentation about her family and life in France and Morocco, her connection to Rotary and her education. She is a pharmacist studying business at Krannert hoping to work on international pharmaceutical policy.
PROGRAM:

GREG REGER introduced his boss, the President of Indiana Business College since 1986, and fellow Rotarian, KEN KONESCO. The IBC slogan is "We change lives one student at a time." This is true of all educators. He divided higher education into sectors, Public (32% of students), Private Not for Profit (29% of students) and Private for Profit (39% of students). IBC is a career college with 4,400 students on 11 campuses in Indiana, plus on line classes. Founded in 1902 in Marian, IN, 95% of the courses are geared toward a career. Most of the students are a little older and more independent than public university students and attend school year round to attain the education they need to get a job as quickly as possible.
