CLUB CONCERNS:

PRESIDENT JAN asked us to keep the following in our thoughts and prayers: BOB BROCK.
BIRTHDAY TABLE:

BRUCE HARDING introduced members celebrating a birthday in March and announced that so far $1,432 has been contributed. We congratulated them by singing Happy Birthday!
PROGRAM:

JOHN SANDERSON introduced Craig Svensson, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Services, who brought us up to date on initiatives in these three areas. Noting that 90,000 deaths annually are caused by medical errors, there is an urgent need to improve patient safety and medication safety. We hear about the 40,000 deaths due to cancer; 43,000 deaths due to auto accidents and 15,000 deaths due to AIDS, but medical errors receive little attention in spite of the number. Research at Purdue hopes to improve this disturbing statistic.
STUDENT GUESTS:

CRAIG IRVINE introduced Erin Carney and Sam Walker from Central Catholic High School. Each received a certificate and a travel mug with the four-way test to commemorate meeting with us.
VISITING ROTARIANS:

SUZANN SHACKLETON, Attica/Williamsport; JUAN PEDRO TORROBA, Santa Rosa La Pampa, Argentina; KERRY CANARSKY, Purdue Rotaract.
GUESTS:
