The University Inn staff requests that members not pass through the service
doors into the kitchen. If you are late, JANE or JO can request a plate for you.

Committee Chairs should check with President Elect and Program Chair JOHN
SANDERSON for program commitments.

GREG REGER announces that nomination forms for the Service Above Self
award will be ready soon. The deadline for nominations is due in February.

TERRY WEST, chair of the Ambassadorial Scholars committee, asked us to
submit good candidates for the Outbound Scholars program. Clubs send
qualified candidates to the District where two students are selected for the
$26,000 scholarship. Candidates must have completed four semesters of
college, have good scholarship, and may not be related to a Rotarian. A 20 page
application form is required, so only serious candidates apply.

JIM KLUSMAN asked us to circle September 22 and 23 on our calendars. That
is the next Gus Macker tournament in Lafayette! $31,000 was raised last year �
enough to build a Habitat House and to partially fund a Rotary CAPE Grant
playground project. FRED ANDERSON, JIM BODENBILLER, OSCAR
HOPKINS, KEVEN JENNINGS, DAVE MC GAW, JEANNE NORBERG, ARVID
OLSON, DAVE SATTLER, DOUG TAYLOR, and JANE TURNER are already
working on the project.

President JAN asked each table to brainstorm suggestions for projects for the
club to support with the funds raised this year.

Highlights from Board Meeting:
- Mithoefer explained the Gus Macker agreement
- Major Donors should be known by the end of March
- February 10th is a workday at the Habitat House funded by last years Gus
Macker Tournament. Rotarians are asked to help drywall and paint.
