CLUB CONCERNS:
PRESIDENT JAN asked us to keep the following in our thoughts and prayers:
BOB BROCK; and the family and friends of CRAIG IRVINE whose mother
passed away Monday.
PROGRAM:
GORDON KINGMA introduced Bill Olds who presented an informative video
reviewing the history of Lafayette Life Insurance Co. He outlined the strengths of
the company before the merger with Western and Southern Financial Group.
After the merger their ratings improved and the whole operation went from good
to great. When asked about the effects of Katrina on the company, he said there
were none. The Lafayette staffing patterns have not changed since the merger.
Bill took a moment to publicly thank JIM HOBBS for being a superb mentor.
STUDENT GUESTS:
RAY PEETERS introduced Jimi Giles and Brian Callahan from Jefferson High
School. Each received certificate and a travel mug with the four-way test to
commemorate meeting with us.
