CLUB CONCERNS:

PRESIDENT JAN asked us to keep the following in our thoughts and prayers: BOB BROCK; GENE COURTANEY, AL CHISCON. It was wonderful to see TOM MORAN walking normally (or nearly so) today.
EULOGY:
CHUCK HORNER presented a very moving eulogy for LARRY LANE, who died October 12th. In his obituary, the Lane family directed memorials in honor of LARRY to be sent to The Lafayette Rotary Foundation. Several generous gifts have been received and are greatly appreciated.
VOCATIONAL FOCUS:

KEN EWING, a PK (preacher's kid), now known as TO (theological offspring), has had experience delivering papers in Lafayette, working in a men's store, toiling as a field hand on Purdue farms, trying his hand as a carpenter's assistant, before settling into campus ministry at University Church in West Lafayette. His commitment to service perfectly fits his profession and his membership in Rotary.

JIM KLUSMAN introduced Jane Smith, who lives with her husband, Rotarian KEITH SMITH, at 300 Valley Street, #602, Lafayette, IN 47905, phone 423- 1647, E-mail: jasmith25@verizon.net. She is a Financial Planning Consultant using her home address and phone number. District Governor BING PRATT had the pleasure of inducting her into our club.


PROGRAM:

PRES. JAN introduced District Governor BING PRATT, an MD and JD from Zionsville Rotary Club. Since his theme this year is "On Track to Lead the Way", he took us on a train ride through many important Rotary vistas. Water and literacy projects are high priority of RI President BILL BOYD. Four fire trucks were sent to Mexico from Crawfordsville yesterday. We will have 2 GSE teams this year, both outbound and inbound � Mexico and Bangladesh. Gift of Life, the humanitarian program initiated by PDG BILL HATFIELD, has preformed 72 heart surgeries to date. He reminded us that the District Conference will be April 20 - 22 in French Lick. Finally, he presented the Presidential Citation for achievements realized last year. JAN GRIFFIN KOEHLER accepted it on behalf of past president SUSAN HYCHKA.
