FAMILY NEWS:

ERNIE POLAND, formerly our treasurer and now a member of the Crossville Rotary Club, sent the following message: "DAVE FILMER is on the cover of the November 2006 CQ Magazine, which is one of the two top magazines on Amateur Radio. If Lafayette Rotary had a Sergeant-at-Arms, that would probably be worth some recognition and about a $20 fine.

Re: The intense interrelationships between plants and knees

Gee! A new knee and a new house plant from Rotary - all in the same week. W hat a neat coincidence! I find the plant far less painful than the knee area - plus it's soaking up all the CO2 I'm exhaling while complaining about that pain - _and_ giving me back O2 since it apparently senses my hemoglobin and oxygen counts are low. Ain't nature just _grand_!

Thanks much,
Al
