CLUB CONCERNS

PRESIDENT DAVE BOUGH, requested members/spouses to keep the following in their thoughts and prayers: KEN DECKER, JOHN and EUDORA MC KEE; ED PAGE; FAE SPURLOCK; BEV STONE; Marjorie spouse of DICK WALKER, Ann spouse of JIM HOBBS, Irene spouse of DICK KOHLS, and RICK SCHWARZ who is recovering from heart by-pass surgery.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The MUSIC COMMITTEE will meet after lunch next week, October 29, 2002.

By a show of hands, those members in attendance approved the most recent changes to the by-laws.

A complete List of Committees (like used to appear on the back of the Ripples) is posted on the bulletin board.  Copies will be available at the back table. 

The next Small Group Dinner will be November 14th at DAVE and Adrienne BOUGH'S home at 5:30 P.M.  Those who registered need to pay MARTHA CHISCON $8.00 per person.  The guest list filled at today's meeting! 

The Salvation Army is in need of winter clothes for both adults and children.  Donations may be dropped off at their office.

ANN PIECHOTA announced that Rotary would be ringing the bells for Salvation Army on Sunday, December 14th.  Check your calendars and sign up in the coming weeks for a two-hour shift at one of the 12 locations.

The Raffle for Eradicate Polio brought in $114.00 today.  $57.00 goes to the Rotary International Eradicate Polio Fund, $28.00 went to the winning ticket number (BOB FEUER, who was not present so the money was donated to the RI fund), and $29.00 was added to the kettle for the person who draws the Ace of Spaces.

PROGRAM (October 22, 2002)

FRITZ COHEN introduced Sandy Laing, who presented slides of linear parks and addressed four questions.  What are linear parks?  Where do they fit in?  What are the benefits of linear parks?  Who enjoys linear parks?  Lafayette is developing a linear park system that will connect to the West Lafayette and County trails. 

GUESTS:  Patricia Caliendo, guest of BETTY SUDDARTH;  Eric Putnam and Donna Tiger, guests of OSCAR HOPKINS;  Ralph Gann, guest of JIM TURLEY; Ginger Strup, guest of DICK BARTHOLOMEW; Dan Gick, guest of DAN TEDER.

MAKE UPS: ZBIG and SANDY GRABOWSKI in Monticello on October 4th; STEVE STUCKY in Cheboygan, MI on October 9th.

HIGH SCHOOL GUESTS: Nicole Jaffe and Matt Keiser from McCutcheon High School were our student guests today. They each received a certificate and a travel mug with the four-way test to commemorate their visit with us.
