UPCOMING PROGRAM (December 18, 2001)

Larry Thomas, Vice Chairman, PSI Energy, will be the speaker and will speak about "Six Issues Facing Cinergy." Mr. Thomas will be introduced by WENDELL SEABORNE, Lafayette District Energy Services manager. MARK DAVIS is Program Coordinator for December.

JOHN BURGNER (JOHN) with classification EDUCATION � University, sponsored by DAVID L. FILMER. JOHN is Associate Research Scientist Biological Sciences, Purdue. JOHN and his spouse, KIMBERLI, are the parents of two children and reside at 3504 Chancellor Way, West Lafayette 47906 - telephone 497-3697. Their son, John, III was one of last year's Rotary Thomas F. Moran, Sr. Scholarship winners.

JOE's and JOHN's membership today makes the Club's membership total 270, i.e., active - 264 and honorary - 6.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

DAN TEDER presented a eulogy to Robert S. Hiatt, long-time Rotarian who died at 9:00 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2001, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. A copy of the eulogy may be obtained from GRIFF.

DECEMBER SMALL GROUP DINNER: Christmas Open House at the home of OSCAR and BEVERLY HOPKINS, Thursday, December 13, 2001. A maximum of 40 can be accommodated, and 24 have already signed-up, so please get your reservation and $8.00 per person to MARTHA CHISCON as quickly as possible.

THANKS to all Rotarians who assisted with the recent two Rotary "Service Above Self" Projects: 1) Salvation Army Bell Ringing on Saturday, December 8th, and 2) YWCA Women's Shelter Christmas Project, Friday and Saturday, December 7th and 8th.
